Malegado respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains how to report copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable international law.

2. Copyright Infringement Notice
To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, your written communication must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material on Malegado that is claimed infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder
- Your physical or electronic signature
3. Counter-Notification
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to the designated agent with the information required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
4. Repeat Infringers
We maintain a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
